This Team gives oversight and guidance to our worship and our ministry of music, guided by The Form of Government, The Directory for Worship, and The Book of Common Worship. This Team will interpret the meaning and purpose of worship in the Reformed tradition to the congregation through educational events (in cooperation with the Christian Education Team), and publications and articles in Grace Notes. It makes provision for regular worship services including ushers, liturgists, acolytes, communion, paraments, banners, and flowers. It recruits and trains the worship assistants. It oversees the employment and work of the Director of Music/Organist and the Choir Director (in consultation, as necessary, with the Ministry Team for Administration and Finance). This Team oversees the development and enhancement of the music program including choirs. In consultation with the Pastor, it is responsible for special worship occasions, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Pentecost, All Saints, weddings, and funerals. This Team is responsible for developing and recommending a calendar for the observation of the Sacrament of Communion to the Session. It oversees and implements the Grace Wedding and Funeral Policies. It oversees the development and use of liturgical arts, such as chancel drama and liturgical dance/movement. Divisions may include, but are not limited to, Music Program, Communion, Special Services, Recruitment and Training, Linen Guild, and Weddings.
