OUR LITURGIST TODAY is Jim Laury.

Today we ordain and install Sean Cathey, Jamie Clay and Shirley Hinton as members of the session, class of 2014.

Youth Group meets after worship today for a bowling outing.

The Session will meet today at the church following the worship service.

The February Caregivers Support Group will meet tomorrow, February 6, at the church at 7:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please call Valerie McLaughlin at (256) 837-8108.

There will be a blood drive at Grace from 3:00-7:00 on Monday February 6. This is the last in a series of American Red Cross drives sponsored by two Cadette Girl Scouts from Troop 312 (which meets at Grace) to complete their Silver Award Project. Donors will receive a t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for tickets from Delta. Sixteen year-olds can donate with a parent’s permission; ages 17 and up can donate with valid ID. Call 1-800-REDCROSS for more information or to schedule a donor time.

Your 2011 contribution statements are available on a table in the Narthex beside the door to the sanctuary. Please pick up your statement to save on postage needed for mailing them to you. If you would like to start receiving your statements by email, please tell Jim Kirkwood. He also has automatic fund transfer forms if you want to save on writing checks.

A donation to the “Grace Columbarium and Prayer Garden Fund” was given to the Glory of God and in honor of the Grace Volunteers at the Botanical Garden’s Galaxy of Lights.

Our next Fellowship Dinner will be Saturday February 18 starting at 5:00 p.m. A New Orleans-style menu will be served and the family-friendly event will have a Mardi Gras theme. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Contact Amanda Gotttlieb to make your reservations. More details are in the February issue of Grace Notes.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM

JANUARY 29 BULLETIN

Flowers are given today by Sandy & Rick Schwarz to the Glory of God and in celebration of Ralph & Millie Carew’s 60th wedding anniversary.

Our liturgist today is Jim Hutcheson.

Youth Group meets tonight. Come from 6:00-7:30 for dinner and a program.

Next Sunday is Bread Sunday, so please remember to bring a loaf of bread and place it in the basket in the Narthex. This will help supply local mission meal programs at agencies such as the Salvation Army and the Downtown Rescue Mission.

A “GARDEN PARTY” will be hosted by the Columbarium & Prayer Garden Task Force today after worship. Lunch will be provided. Please come and learn about plans for the Grace Columbarium, prayer garden, and more.

Grace is helping with a pilot program for a "$1.00 per week campaign" for PHfC. The plan is to ask each member of Grace to put a dollar per week into the box located in the Narthex. Hopefully the majority of those present each Sunday will donate at least $1.00 each. It will be promoted to the Sunday School classes also, so that the kids can be involved. Each week the money will be counted and a check will be sent early in the week, so PHfC receives the money on a weekly basis.

OUR KIDS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME to play with and ride on the outside toys in the smaller playground – some of the toys belonged to our families before coming to the church! It would be nice to make sure as we leave church on Sunday afternoons that the toys are back in place for the preschoolers on Monday morning, as they do such a good job of leaving things nice for us. Please, parents, help make sure things get back the way they were if your children have played on or with any of these toys.
