The three banners symbolize the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

These banners hang in the Grace Presbyterian Church sanctuary. The sanctuary has three windows that face due west; these banners hang in front of the windows, one in each. They catch the sun as it crosses the sky, and the colors glow brilliantly in the light. These banners were made by one of the members of our church.

We have other banners that hang in various places throughout the church which were made by church members. As time permits, each of these will be reproduced in the electronic medium for your viewing. If you wish to use one of these images, you are welcome to do so, but please cite your source!
The HAND of God
THE HAND OF GOD, extended downward, in a traditional gesture of blessing.
Inscribed on the hand is both a stylized dove (Holy Spirit) and cross
(Son), indicating that while God is revealed to us in three "persona", God
is One. The hand is against a green background, the liturgical color for
Ordinary Time, which indicates life and growth.
The LAMB of God
THE LAMB OF GOD ("Agnus Dei") is a traditional symbol of Jesus Christ. The
lamb carries a cross, which is a symbol of victory. The lamb is against a
purple background, the liturgical color of Advent and Lent, which
symbolizes suffering, pentitence, preparation, and also indicates royalty
(Christ the King) and victory.
THE DOVE symbolizes the Holy Spirit, reflecting indications in the Gospels
that the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus at his baptism in the form of a
dove. The dove is white which symbolizes purity and cleansing against a red background (Pentecost).
